How do I access my classrolls online?

Are there any grading templates available?

First check with your department to see if they have a preferred template. If not, the Center offers both letter-grade and numeric-grade templates.

How do I find out what types of equipment are in my classroom?

Go to ITS Classroom Hotline and click on "Find A Classroom" or call 962-0702.

I need to show a film to my class, but the classroom doesn't have the right equipment. What do I do?

Rooms 006, 205, and 207 in the Undergraduate Library are available for class viewings through the Media Resources Center. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Send email to mediaresourcescenter@unc.edu to make a reservation.

The equipment in my classroom is broken. What do I do?

Pick up the red phone in your classroom and report the difficulty. You can also call 962-HELP or send email to hotline@unc.edu.

Where can I obtain equipment for my classroom?

Is BlackBoard the only way to create a course website? How do I obtain course web space?

Instructors with basic web authoring skills may choose to create their own web space for their courses using the Course Web Space Tool. Once you fill out the online form, you will be given a URL through which you and your students can access your materials via the web, and an FTP address which you will need to upload the materials to your website.

How can I set up a class listserv?

To set up a class listserv go to the UNC List Server website and select "Create a List." When you are completing the form on the List Creation Utility page, be sure to set the "Type of List" option to "Course Mailing List."

  • ITS Software Acquisition
    The Software Acquisition office negotiates and maintains campus-wide (site) license agree-ments for software. Office hours for the Software Acquisition Office are Monday to Friday from 8-4:30; appointments are recommended.

    The Citrix application server provides access to desktop applications using a web interface and run from a central server. Semester access is granted for instructors who are teaching in the College of Arts and Sciences. Please contact OASIS for a list of available software and to obtain a password for Citrix access.
