Leadership

Carolina’s standing as one of the world’s great universities relies on effective faculty leadership at all levels of the institution. Directing research labs, chairing committees, serving as deans and department heads, and presiding over international scholarly organizations are some of the ways UNC faculty members are called upon to lead both within the University and within the wider academic community. The Center for Faculty Excellence helps faculty members develop the knowledge and skills needed to successfully carry out their various leadership responsibilities.

To assist faculty in their various leadership roles, the CFE provides the following resources:
