Skilled and dedicated teachers, committed to providing their students the best possible educational opportunities, are essential to UNC fulfilling its mission of educating a diverse community of learners to become the next generation’s leaders. The Center for Faculty Excellence helps Carolina faculty members and graduate students enhance and maintain their teaching skills by providing the following services and materials: 

• Excellence in teaching workshops
• Consultations for individuals, departments, or groups on teaching and learning issues
• For Your Consideration, a series of short monographs addressing teaching strategies, instructional methods, and classroom management
• Orientation for new graduate teaching assistants
• Future Faculty Fellowship Program for graduate students
• Assistance with adding new technology to face-to-face instruction

• Teaching and Learning with Technology Collaborative at Chapel Hill (TLTC)
• CFE 100+ Teaching Tips Blog, a blog about teaching large classes well
• Additional resources that support teaching and learning
