Orientation for New Graduate Teaching Assistants

The CFE sponsors a day-long orientation program each August for new graduate student teaching assistants (TAs). This program provides an opportunity for new TAs to learn about teaching at Carolina, participate in discussions with experienced instructors, and socialize with other new TAs from across the University. Past session topics include developing and evaluating written assignments, grading student work, overcoming apathy in the classroom, and basic classroom strategies for international TAs.
