On September 7th, the CFE welcomed new faculty at its Open House for Faculty New to Carolina from the following schools:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- Eshelman School of Pharmacy
- Gillings School of Global Public Health
- Kenan-Flagler Business School
- School of Dentistry
- School of Education
- School of Medicine
- School of Nursing
- School of Social Work
- Summer School
- University Libraries
Co-sponsored with the University Libraries, the Open House was attended by over 120 faculty and staff. Over 30 units across UNC participated in the event to provide resources useful to new faculty. Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Jim Dean and Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives Carol Tresolini welcomed attendees with inspiring remarks about on-campus opportunities for new faculty. New University Librarian Elaine Westbrooks also greeted the faculty. Faculty had the opportunity to learn more about services and offerings from the libraries and the CFE, as well as tour an active learning classroom as part of the event.
