To further develop a leader’s understanding of their style and approach to leading, we will be using the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) as an application for communications, giving feedback, conflict, problem-solving, decision-making, coaching, and building groups/teams.
Prerequisite: leader participants must have completed their own MBTI and validated their type and style
Do you want to consider how to use the MBTI with a variety of leadership skills to develop your group, faculty, and staff? The MBTI offers a leadership lens to gain perspectives and apply the use of TYPE to communicate, give feedback, address conflict, problem-solve, make decisions, coach, and build groups or teams.
MBTI Advanced Applications Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to make better decisions by using the four key functions and apply these functions using the MBTI problem-solving model
- Leverage how TYPE can be used to enhance teams and appreciate strengths and differences
- Understand how MBTI TYPE is demonstrated with managing conflict
- Develop yourself as a leader and use coaching methods with your staff by using MBTI as an insight to development opportunities
