April 2021

Ongoing racial violence, including the shooting of Andrew Brown Jr. in our own state, has traumatized our campus community. The Chauvin conviction for the murder of George Floyd, while a step toward change, cannot erase the continued trauma and strong emotions that many are suffering. In addition to resources suggested by Chancellor Guskiewicz, Provost Blouin, and Interim Chief Diversity Officer Anderson-Tompkins, the CFE also supports faculty in their work with students. We offer several online resources to help instructors address anti-racism and racist violence, and to use best practices in equitable and inclusive teaching. Please request a consultation if you need additional support.
