Research Project Manager for TEAM ADVANCE

Jonathan Foland is Research Project Manager for Targeting Equity in Access to Mentoring (TEAM) ADVANCE, which promotes a culture of active, equitable, and effective mentoring at Carolina. Jonathan provides project management, research administration, communications, and administrative support for the project. Jonathan has been a member of the Carolina community for nearly a decade and has a background in course instruction, communication strategy, research development, career services, and program administration. Academically, Jonathan developed a deep understanding of rhetorical, cultural, and feminist theories, with particular interest in intersectionality, gender performativity, and queer studies. Jonathan is a 2016 recipient of the Tanner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching by a Graduate Student, and holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and dual Bachelors of Arts in English and Communication from University of Kentucky.
