Senior Faculty Development Consultant in Teaching and Learning

Marissa Stewart joined CFE in Fall 2022 as our Senior Faculty Development Consultant. She previously worked at the Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland where she developed a variety of programs and resources to support instructors across campus. She earned her Ph.D. in anthropology from The Ohio State University by examining the biological evidence for social inequality in medieval Italian cemeteries. She also received a M.S. from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Learning Design and Technology to better support student learning in an online environment. She has taught undergraduate courses that spanned the breadth of anthropology, statistics for applied anthropologists, and graduate courses on teaching and learning. Marissa looks forward to working with instructors at UNC and leading our Course Design Institutes.
