Partners for Equity in Teaching: Accessibility Resources and Services

April 15, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

ARS and faculty will discuss the role of the office, the accommodations determinations process, and the role faculty play within it. Additionally, we will discuss the role of syllabi and course design as tools to promote inclusivity. We will also touch on the legal framework within which the University is obligated to operate with regards to student disabilities.

Learning Objectives 

  1. Become familiar with ARS staff and the process by which students receive accommodations
  2. Identify support available to instructors teaching students with accommodations
  3. Improve classroom inclusivity for students with disabilities
