Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) are simple and versatile activities that can be integrated in any classroom context to provide feedback on teaching and learning. Join us at this workshop to discuss how CATs are informed by the science on teaching and learning, collaboratively brainstorm benefits of gathering real-time feedback in your courses, and consider how you can integrate a CAT (or two) into your own classes!
Participants will be able to:
- Experience a variety of CATs useful in collecting and sharing frequent feedback about student learning
- Brainstorm benefits of collecting and sharing real-time feedback
- Begin planning a CAT to be used in your own teaching context
