Strategies for Making Large Classes Feel Smaller

November 3, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Large enrollment courses are among the most challenging to teach. During this session, we’ll share ideas for creating engaging, inclusive, and scalable learning environments, regardless of your class size. In the midst of the University’s transition back to in-person instruction, we’ll also reflect on lessons learned during the pandemic about teaching large classes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Increase your familiarity with several evidence-based design and teaching practices that may benefit students in your large courses
  • Reflect on how the pandemic has changed large class instruction
  • Learn from other instructors
