Supporting Your Pedagogy with Zoom Breakout Rooms

In this workshop, we will explore ways to support your pedagogical strategies using the current features of Zoom breakout rooms. By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Configure your profile and meeting settings for Zoom to enable relevant in-meeting tools
• Compare what the host, co-host(s), and participants are able to control with the breakout rooms tool
• Explain how you would adapt breakout room activities to anticipate and address challenges in your course planning

We will specifically address Zoom features available in version 5.4.7 of the software, including the option for participants to select which breakout room they would like to join.
