Pedagogy Reading Circles

This popular program is back! In Fall 2023, we will read and discuss the book entitled Improving Learning and Mental Health in the College Classroom, by Robert Eaton, Steven V. Hunsaker, and Bonnie Moon. 

Reading Circles of five to seven instructors will meet four to five times during the semester to discuss ideas from the book and share teaching experiences and strategies at Carolina. CFE staff will assist your group in scheduling Zoom meetings, with an option for groups to meet in person if members can participate fully. All participants will receive a copy of the book courtesy of the CFE. To join, complete our interest survey to indicate your availability. Please consider joining with a friend or colleague to get the most out of your experience!

What you can expect: Read a few chapters of the book prior to each meeting, reflect upon your teaching experiences, and bring one reflection or question for the group to discuss. CFE staff members will participate in Reading Circle groups when possible.
