Special Assistant to the Provost for TEAM ADVANCE

Dr. Kia Caldwell (Co-Principal Investigator) is Professor of African, African American, and Diaspora Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.

As Special Assistant to the Provost for TEAM ADVANCE, Dr. Caldwell served as a liaison between the Office of the Provost and TEAM ADVANCE to promote consistent and equitable mentoring practices. She provided cross-campus engagement with deans, chairs, and leadership to assess departmental needs, provide feedback, and share resources.

Dr. Caldwell received an appointment with Washington University in St. Louis as the new Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Diversity. She began her appointment July 1, 2021.
