June brings over 20 years expertise in leadership development and coaching. In serving academic and faculty leaders June articulates a vision and approach that leading truly connects, faculty leaders, departments, the university and our community. Her commitment to faculty academic leadership extends to the practice of achieving our mission–teaching and leading students. As part of her recent work at UNC, June created a leadership strategy with key goals to include a leadership learning framework. At North Carolina State University she designed and offered leadership development programs, courses, and coaching with faculty leaders including deans, chairs, and program heads. She approaches leadership development with an organizational development perspective that includes a system’s view for leaders and faculty leading and responding to change and growth. Her experience includes over 20 years in both private and public sectors as an innovative organizational and leadership development consultant/coach supporting with change, learning strategies, and talent management initiatives. Previously June held leadership development positions at NC State University, McKim & Creed Engineering, RTI International, and the City of Durham. She has consulted with such major organizations as Reichhold Chemicals, BCBSNC, and Spherion Inc. June holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education and Training and Development from North Carolina State University, a certificate in Organization Development from the University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Temple University. She is a certified consultant in the CCL 360 Suite of Assessments, the Birkman Method, Lominger Leadership & Organizational Architect, LPI-Kouzes & Posner-Leadership Practices Inventory, 360 Tilt Leadership Predictor, MBTI, FIRO- B, DISC, EQ-I 2.0, Change Style Indicator, Influence Style Indicator and other leadership personality assessment tools. Her coaching expertise also includes a coaching certification with Manchester Consulting and Spherion Inc. In addition, June is a certified career coach with over 10 years of experience delivering career development and management services. She is an active member of several professional associations including Organization Development Network, Professional Organization Development and the American Association for Talent Development. Apart from her work in leadership coaching and organizational development, June is an accomplished visual artist and improvisational performance artist with numerous art exhibitions.
