Applications are open for our 2024-25 Faculty Administrator Orientation to Carolina cohort. Faculty may be nominated or apply on their own. A brief letter of support from the chair is part of the application. Applications will be accepted and reviewed through Summer 2024, and the program will begin in-person on Friday, September 6.

The Center for Faculty Excellence Faculty Administrator Orientation to Carolina (FAOC) program goals are to provide an orientation to campus resources, to build a support network among faculty administrators, and to support development in their leadership roles. This program is for mid- to senior career faculty and/or faculty in administrative leadership roles.
Erin Malloy, CFE Director, and Kara Penfield, CFE Senior Leadership Consultant, will direct the 2023-24 FAOC.
What you need to know to apply for Faculty Administrator Orientation to Carolina
Faculty can apply on their own or be nominated. Applicants will need to provide information, a professional headshot photograph, and a letter of support from their direct supervisor, department chair, or dean/associate dean.
Applications for 2024-25 are open.For questions or more information, contact CFE Leadership Development.
If you are submitting your application for the 2024-25 Faculty Administrator Orientation to Carolina program, then please hold the 2024-25 workshop dates on our calendar while awaiting application decision. If accepted into the program, you will receive formal calendar invitations for each workshop.
Lunch will be provided for all Faculty Administrator Orientation to Carolina sessions.
