Designing Higher-order Prompts for Class Activities and Assessments

The effectiveness of assessments and in-class activities is closely linked to the appropriate level of the question or set of questions being asked. In this workshop, instructors will be introduced to strategies for developing effective question prompts. It will also touch on options for sourcing effective prompts ideas.

Participants will be able to:

• Become familiar with strategies for writing and using effective higher-order questions and prompts
