Exploring the Carolina Digital Repository and Open Access

In this session, participants will learn about the Carolina Digital Repository and the ways in which it can be used for their scholarship and teaching. Additionally, they will learn the fundamentals of open access and about UNC’s Open Access Policy.

Participants will be able to:

• Recognize the Carolina Digital Repository (CDR) as a place to keep UNC-CH digital scholarship safe, accessible, and sustainable
• Identify appropriate types of materials and steps needed to deposit resources in the CDR
• Explore and propose ways to utilize the CDR resources in teaching and learning
• Interpret UNC’s Open Access Policy and explain the fundamentals of Open Access
